Start the registration process.
Step 1: Open the Telegram app after it’s installed.
Step 2: Tap on the “Start Messaging” button to begin.
Step 3: Enter your phone number.
On the registration screen, you will be prompted to enter your phone number.
Your country code may be automatically detected, but you should confirm it’s correct.
Type in your valid mobile phone number. You must use a working number, as you will receive a verification code. Tap the arrow or “Next” to continue.

Step 4: Verify your phone number.
Telegram will send a verification code to the phone number you provided via SMS. Enter this code into the app. On some devices, the app may automatically detect and fill in the code for you. If you do not receive the code, Telegram may attempt to call you with the code after a few minutes.
Step 5: Set up your profile. After successful verification, you will be asked to enter your first and last name. This is the name other users will see. You can also add a profile picture at this stage, but it is optional. Tap the arrow or “Next” to complete the setup.
Step 6: Start using Telegram. You have now created your Telegram account. The app will guide you through other permissions, such as syncing your contacts, to help you find and connect with friends already using Telegram.
